That text was written on the back of the old photograph above featuring a Sherman tank in war damaged Overloon 1944. This photo was to be the trigger to the Constellation-tour 2000. The owner of the photo is Danny Bosma, who lives near Overloon and has a great interest in WW2 and military vehicles. Danny got the idea to plan a tour which followed the trails of Operation Constellation.Constellation was the codename given by the Allies to the operation in this area. So it had to be! A plan was made. Old photographs were collected. A little booklet including route-info, roadmaps, old photos and background information was made. Owners of WW2-vehilces were invited and on the 10th of June 2000 the Constellationtour became reality. March-orders were issued. About 15 vehicles came to a campsite near Venray which was assigned as starting point. After some coffee the "troops" entered their vehicles and started the 100km long tour. Most of the tour was an little dirt-roads. Stops were made at the Overloon war cementery and a exhibit dedicated to WW2. Also two coffee-stops were included. The participants all got a unique coffee-mugg
