Here you will find the actual status of the tombs and piramids


For the last couple of years the Egyptian government has made it policy to close certain tombs by roulation, to avoid they will severely suffer from the hugh crowds of visitors in some tombs or just for restauration.

So this means, that by this system, that in Kingsvalley always aprox 8 tombs will be open and all the rest will be closed temperaroly, (some perminently

Valley of Queens:

Tombs open: Amon-her-khopsef, Chaemwast, Titi

Nefertari

Valley of Kings:

Tombs closed:, (Due to restoration, duration unknown)

Seti 1, Ramses 6, Ramses 4, Mont-her-khopsef

Tombs open: Thumosis 3, Ramses 1, Ramses 3, Ramses 7, Amonhotep 2

Ramses 9, Merenptah, Aye, Sethnakht, Seti 2, Siptah, Horemheb

New Toms at Dra abdl Naga: Roy and Suroy

Gizeh:

Piramids closed: Cheops, and Mykerinos about to be closed shortly, Chephren open

6 New Tombs open now to the public

Sakkara: Unas closed, Titi open

6 New Tombs now open to the public

Dahsur: Snefru Red piramid open

Meidum: Snefru piramid open
