Pictures from 1980 up to the present

1980. After finishing his active motocross career Heikki appointed
to racing-manager by Yamaha for the 250cc and 500cc works teams.
Now the stress of GP-racing is off his shoulders Heikki have all the
time for his many fans. Here he hands out stickers to the youth.

May 18, 1980. After the second heat of the Finnish 500cc Grand Prix
at Ruskeasanta, the Kawasaki works team make protest against
Gerard Rond. His works Suzuki must be weighed again and Heikki is
looking amused how they pull out a drive chain from the air-filter box of the Suzuki.

Roger DeCoster (in 1980, on Honda) then gave the next comment: " I must say, at the moment the Suzuki team settled it all very well. For on the way they even give their racers a spare chain..... ".

April 5, 1981. During the Spanish 250cc Grand Prix in Sabadell, also the motocross
pants became inspected. In the first instance many motocross pants were disapproved,
but as a representative of the Sinisalo brand, Heikki Mikkola told the organisation that
the Finnish motocross pants are really approved products.

1981. Heikki Mikkola paste a Sinisalo sticker on the
jersey of reigning 250cc world champion Georges Jobé.

April 26, 1981. Heikki and Yamaha factory rider Hakan Carlqvist take
shelter under an umbrella, during the Swiss 500cc Grand Prix in Payerne.

July 19, 1981. Heikki in consultation with Hakan Carlqvist,

August 16, 1981. With champagne Heikki welcomes the new 250cc
world champion Neil Hudson, during the Dutch Grand Prix in Apeldoorn.

August 16, 1981. After gaining the 250cc world title by Neil Hudson,
Heikki let himself the champagne well taste.

1982. As preparation to the 250cc Grand Prix season the American Danny Laporte
trains for a week in Finland under the guidance of Heikki.

1982. Also there was time for entertainment. Heikki learns Danny Laporte the hunting tricks.

August 29, 1982. Heikki Mikkola talks with both heats winner Donnie Hansen,
