Oriental dance has always been devoloping and growing for thousands of
years,in the 1960s Jamila Salimpour was experimenting with different styles
of Oriental dance and fusion, then in the 1980s Carolena Nericcio founded
Fatchance belly dance and began fusing a tantilizing mixture of Indian
Bharata Natyam, Turkish and Egyption Gawazze, Spanish Famenco and Urban
moves.
Originally an exiciting improvisation with its own Tribal languge of
Cues and transitions and amazing creative costumes it is always devloping
bringing new elements into its form and expanding it,but always the nuclus
is the joy of dancing togther as a group or a Tribe.
Zafira has been
performing ATS(American Tribal Style)since 2000 and has taken workshops from
Rachel Brice,Sharon Kiara she preforms regularly with Tanit Tribal and has
taught and preformed this amazing style in Holland and abroad.
