The war and victory in the West resulted
in the annexation of
Alsace-Loraine and Eupen-Malmedy, lost in 1919 to France and Belgium. The tiny
Grandduchy of Luxembourg
was
also annexed as it
was
deemed historically and
ethnically German. The campaign against Yugoslavia resulted
in the annexation of
the Upper-Carniola region of Slovenia.
