My recommended suppliers
As a lot of owners, I need parts. Here is a list of people I can recommend.
| Go Wammes. A wholeseller to the trade, based in Culemborg. Gives good discount on lots of items. No MG-specialist parts, but a lot of knowledge and surprisingly a lot of MG parts are still supplied by major companies. The owner rallied a P5B V8 from London to Sydney. Parts he can supply are mostly items that wear. Think oil, oil filters, air filters, brake parts, hoses and the like. Before I look at other suppliers, I first try Go. If they don't have it, they know where to get it and will redirect you to the appropriate shop. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT OPERATE ANYMORE. Autoparts Culemborg has taken over. | |
| Johan van Elteren. Also in Culemborg. Has lots of electronic components, ranging from starter motors to alternators and all dubious bits of British Electronics (Lucas). Good prices. | |
| Boogstein Accu's in Leerdam (opposite to the Sportsworld). Boogstein makes batteries. 6V, 12V, for old cars, new cars, trucks. You name it. Because they make batteries, the prices are very low. But the products are high quality. No way in the world can you get your batteries cheaper than here. Better still: companies buy their batteries and sticker them as their own brand. But at double the price. Guess where I buy mine... | |
| MG Motorsport. Doug Smith races B's and C's. He is very helpful and knows a lot. Some of the components he sells are really good and made to a quality that exceeds the standards of the competition. Noticeable are his Sebring panels, but also the leaf springs and coil springs. Really very good. His advice made my car handle superb. | |
| V8 Conversions. Often the tale is told that Ken Costello made the MG B V8. This is part true, but one person is left out: David Vale from V8 Conversions. Experience of 30 years make him the person to talk to. | |
| MG CAP. Located in Austerlitz, this chap provides all parts for the MG B at the lowest prices of Holland. The chap is also very helpful. | |
| Fabory Center Nieuwegein. On the Archimedesbaan is one of the few shops that provide all kinds of nuts and bolts, available in every thread you want. The place to go for non-metric sizes. | |
| Martien van Zandwijk. Provides copper pipes in all sizes. Basically Martien has a company that repairs and supplies parts for hydraulic installations. A fuel line of some brake line is a piece of cake. "high pressure pipe for a fuel injection system? What material do you want, what couplings, what size, how long?" Can supply all you can think of with regard to plumbing your efi or brake system. |
