Round Buttons

1. This tutorial explains how to create a small round plastic button with a reflection at the top. |

2. Using the Elliptical Marquee¹ tool, make a circle selection 21x21 pixels. Hold the Shift key for perfect circle. |

3. Selectthe Radial Gradient¹ tool. In the Radial Gradient Options palatte click on Edit. Create a new gradient as shown in the picture. |

4. Set black as the background color and R: 255; G: 153; B: 0; HEX: FF9900; as the foreground color. Create a new layer. Make a gradient starting from the bottom of selection (a bit up from the edge) to the top. |

5. Keep the selection active. Apply Drop Shadow (Layer > Effects > Drop Shadow) layer effect as shown in the picture. |

6. Create a new layer and fill it with white using the Paint Bucket¹ tool. |

7. Expand (Select > Modify > Expand) selection by two pixels. |

8. Move selection down 4 pixels using the Rectangular Marquee¹ tool and clear selected area. |

9. Load selection² from the layer, Smooth it (Select > Modify > Smooth) by 2 pixels. |

10. Hide the current layer with white arc. Create a newlayer and fill the selection with white using the Paint Bucket¹ tool. |

11. Apply Blur More (Filter > Bloor > Bloor More) filter and you are done! |
