1. This tutorial explains how to create a power/energy button with Photoshop 6 Layer Effects. |

2. Using the Rectangular Marquee make a rectangular selection. Create a new layer and fill selection with R: 0; G: 94; B: 32; HEX: 005E20; using the Paint Bucket tool. Set the opacity to 40%. |

3. Create a new channel. Using the Pencil¹ tool make a 1 pixel, white horizontal line. Using the Rectangular Marquee tool select the white line and one pixel below. In the main menu select Edit > Define Pattern. |

4. Duplicate layer current layer and apply Inner Shadow layer effect (Layer > Layer Style > Inner Shadow) as shown on the picture. |

5. Apply Inner Glow layer effect with parameters as shown in the picture. |

6. Apply Pattern Overlay layer effect with parameters as shown in the picture. Select the scan lines pattern you created before. |

7. Set Blending Mode of the current layer do Color Dodge and enjoy the results! |
