You've found the pages of a water rocket enthusiast.
My goal is to reach an altitude of +500m with an air pressurized water rocket made out of common PET bottles.
Why?, because I think it is a lot of fun and I believe it will be the world height record for water rockets based on PET bottles.
And the term apogee? ->apogee means the point where an object reaches its greatest distance to earth.
The current world records, as claimed on the Web:
A former height record was held by a FTC type of rocket named
"insane
air" from Robert Youens, reached 1105 feet/337 meter/22 June 2002.
The dutch record stands at 375 meter, flight date November 7th 2004, Sam Mulock with his RED ARROW III, see link in top.
Currently claimed world record height holder (11 july 2003) for PET bottles is
"Anti gravity research" and stands at 1242 feet or 378.5 meter.
The current world record holder for water rockets based on FTC tubing is "wrn.com " from US WATER ROCKETS.
It stands at an outrageous 1715ft (523 m) flight date october 24 2005.
My personal recorded best at current stands at "740ft / 226 meter" launch date 1 june 2005 with the 14L rocket.
Just push the links in the top off the page, it will take you to the topic of your interest.
As my quest continues I will make additions, so feel free to come back later.
