Dear Sir, Thank you. Yours Sincerely, Peter Evans

I'ts amazimg fotos, incrivel

Thanks for letting us view the before earthquake scenes of this remarkable structure. I regret that during the many years that I was in Iran I never visited this amazing citadel, which stood for more than two millenniums and was destroyed in less than 10 seconds....... This is a humbling observation for all mankind.

Tanks, we are in Iran and I visited bam 6 month ago . Iranian people are ina bad spiritual situation. near the 50000 dead . 30000 were buried until now. you can sea my blog but I ,m not sure you can understand persian. tanks again for news.

Thank you for your contribution.

this is a very sad situation, there are tons of earth quakes everywhere all the time. the loss of people is devastating,BUT DO NOT COMPARE....the loss of our AMERICAN SOLDIERS, to the loss of life from natural disasters. They died fighting for FREEDOM and PEACE...... so please do not make light of this situation not making the news, as not being important,

This is not about American soldiers, but about how the media brainwash people by spreading highly biased information, especially concerning Iran.

There was a poll in The Netherlands about sending direct help to Bam. More than one-third of the voters choosed 'no'. Go figure cindy.

The earthquake in Bam and resulting loss of human live is terrible. My heart is saddened for the families who lost loved ones, their homes and sustinance in this natural disaster.

I came to your site to view the great Citadel of Bam before it was lost as I was never able to see it in person. Thank you for sharing the memory.

I came upon your site because I realised that I did not know much about Bam so I started to investigate on the Net. I read tonight that 50,000 are feared dead out of an original population of 103,000. That's half the town wiped out. Its hard to imagine. Many people are leaving now because they do not believe theit town can ever be rebuilt. One man lost his whole extended family of 30. He chose to go out fishing early and returned to the devastation of the earthquake. "Its just me and God now", he says.

Your video was beautiful and a precious record. Thankyou for sharing it with us all.

I live in Nova Scotia,Canada. After all the news reports on the devastation caused by the earthquake, I wanted to know more about the city of Bam and stumbled on your video. What a wonderful testament to the ancient, beautiful city of Bam. Last summer central Nova Scotia was hit by the biggest hurricane in the last 50 years. Several people died, trees were uprooted, roofs blown off and cars dented by flying debris. Power lines were broken and some people were without power for 2 weeks. When I look at the devastation in Bam, I realize that hurricane Juan was more of an inconvenience than a disaster.
No one was left out in the cold...no one went without food...loss of life and injuries were minimal...our hospitals were not affected...and after several weeks everything returned to normal. How can life ever be "normal" for people in Bam that have lost every member of their extended family ? !! I count my blessings and pray for the survivors in Bam.

It truly is all in the hands of God.In a twinkling of an eye anything can be crumbled to dust. The power is not in our hands no matter how advanced our technology.
It truly is a humbling experience and these kinds of disasters happen to shake us back to the realization that nothing lasts forever, calamities come from our own hands whether we realize it or not. God is sending us all reminders which sadly most of the tme we do not heed until it is too late.

I read the comments from Cindy and find that a life is a life, no matter how one dies. How sad for someone to try to value one death over another when there are children that have died or lost their entire family. It doesn't matter where you are from, if you can't feel the sadness in that then I question what your heart is made of.
I have been in the states 29 years of my life and find that it is up to us Iranian people to come together. This is not only an opportunity for new dialogue among the governments but its also a great opportunity for all iranians to come together to support each other.
My heart goes out for those in Iran. I hope that Iranians also focus on the many orphans and the aftermath of this incident.
Good Luck to everyone.

I came to your site to see these ancient buildings before they were taken from us by this earth quake. What a shame it is that these majestic structures withstood so many years, only to fall now. During the last 100 years, we've lost MANY historical treasures. Some are lost by natural disasters, and many more by our callous nature.
Your frustration at the reporting of the loss of a few Americans versus the loss of so many thousands is understandable and appreciated. As an American who fought overseas, I have to admit that at first, that line stung me a bit. I can’t defend the media, but I think the problem is that the typical person cannot comprehend the enormity of this tragedy. To think that the entire population of a typical American town is lost in the rubble is a hard idea to grasp.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful video from ancient Bam. Dear Cindy, we are also sorry for the loss of life of American soldiers. But they have been sent to a war that wasn't really needed. It added more the world's chaos rather than to help keeping the peace.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Saddened that another ancient landmark is no more. You were fortunate that you saw this ancient treasure. Sandra

The video from your site, and photographs from others, leave me awed and saddened at the loss of so many people and such a splendid place.

Thank you for your effort, and my heart goes out to those who are directly affected by this tragedy.

If you are so in love with Iranians, go live there. They killed and tortured our citizens from the US years ago, if you will recall...sorry about their loss of life, very tragic; also glad to hear about 97 year-old woman pulled alive from rubble today (Sharbanou Mazandarani). May she have peace and and even longer life. As for you...burn in hell.

do you have a downloadable version?
This is the first time i saw a video record for BAM.

Like others, i just know about Bam after the eartquake insident.

Thanks for sharing ur moment at BAM.

Mahyuddin, I prefer to keep the file for this page exclusively, although it might not be too difficult to download it anyway ;-)

Phillip, also a happy 2004 to you.

It is nice to know, "SOMEBODY REALY CARE".Thanks a lot for sharing this with us.I hope , some good come out of this. ALSO,my dear phillip, God be with you and I hope this natural desaster sloved your problems.
God bless the people of Iran and America. Phillip, American people are great human being, please do not consider youself as one of them, please go back to your roots and find out ,where realy come from.Personal opinion is great, we all accepting that, do not bring our nation in to this.We as an American "CARE" no matter what. GOD BLESS AMERICAN PEOPLE and also phllip too, no matter who you are, do not forget the word of GOD, when they nail him on a cross, he said father forgive them for thier sin. THat is the path of life we should follow. My dear cindy, our heart is for our soldiers too, lets make a good one from all of these. My prayer is for all of them.
Thank you all for sharing and God be with you all.

It is sad that so many lives were lost. Just imagine that entire family lineages were lost forever. Your anger at the Americans is understandable, however do not be disheartened by their callous behaviour. What America puts out will be returned to them...God's justice will be done...make no mistake about this! America seems to be on the path of 'ethnic cleansing'. Perhaps, if their MOABs wasn't constantly pounding the soils of the Middle East, earthquakes might not become a reality. Also, if the oil wasn't constantly being drained from the earth, the earth won't collapse...but sadly, the American SUV's must be filled up.

Whats thousands of Iranian lives compared to a few American 'soldiers'? After all, its just those people over there...they dress differently, they talk differently, Good Heavens, their God must be different from ours!

Wouldn't it be nice if greedy America could stay the heck out of everyone else's country? What a better world this would be!

Is

Is it a natural disaster? Or, did America use its famous 'HARP' frequency? After, the Zoroastrian fire temple is in BAM. And we know that the repitillian creatures like bush would do its utmost to destroy anything that is of the Light.

The good thing is that most Americans are good people like people anywhere else. Its only the ones that are in so called 'power' that is bent on destroying anything that they don't understand...or anything that they understand and cannot have because they haven't earned it.

Those souls that died in Bam,Iran has now found a place with God.

No matter how many lives are lost in the Middle East, those that seek to destroy them will never posses their souls.

Am I off topic? NO!

The LIGHT will always be VICTORIOUS!

Thank you for sharing this clip with all citizens of the planet. May all people who lost their lives rest in peace.

Asude from that I am puzzeled, since someone claimed that American got killed and tortured by Iranians and my memory cannot recall anything like that. There has never been hostility from Iranians toward American people, the anger towards US government originated from US government support for the former dictator "Shah" that unfortunately resulted in employees of US government held in there for 444 days. They all returned home safe and sound and never claimed to be tortured. I hope US get cleaned of Mad Cow Desease, when the good people of America kick (vote)the mad cow out of their WH.

Looks like Bam 'supremely' replaced by the US fingerprinting and photographing all visitors to the US...soon to be replaced by the mark of the beast, the microchip. Good news though, some countries are waived from being fingerprinted and microchiped...for now. Here is a list of countries 'waived'. Let me see, they are countries with white people, aren't they? No, wait...Canada is not on the list. Omigod! White people against white people now! Whats this world coming to? Armageddon? This is only the beginning. The ones that are dead are the lucky ones. God help us all!

Countries waived
Residents from these countries will continue to enter the U.S. without being fingerprinted or photographed:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Portugal and Singapore.

I Like to sympathize with every one and with people of Bam for loosing so many innocent people. I know that the earth quake we had in tebat long time ago was created by russians underground nuclear tests which resulted in a huge earth quake in tebat. As aniranian I know that we never took care of our country as we should, we do not care if the houses are built by the standard regulations or if people have a safe and healthy places to live. Imagine if any thing happens to US some thing like this earth quake, how much they will try their best. We do not appreciate what we have, all the mineral and natural resources! We take every thing for a granted til we ran out of luck and materials. I think it is also our own responsabilities to take care of our people and our own country. No one should be blamed, We are too nice to other people and we love any body else except our own nationality! It is tru that if you do not take care of what you have you will loose it or some one else will come an

Thank you for sharing your clip of the once standing ancient city of Bam. Like so many I am extremely saddened by the incredible loss of so many innocent lives and wish to convey my deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.

As for you Phillip, educate yourself and eat up your nonsensical and malicious comments - they have no place here!

It's really a great loss and makes us think..
Peace.

Thank you so much for sharing the past beautiful Bam with us.
Something so beautiful built by the hands of so many people...devastated in seconds. This means something: maybe we all should think twice, stop fighting for power and taste life as the one miracle.

Thanks for this view of what was a beautiful city. When the 'news' talks of 'mud', it degrades the reality. This is all part of the evolution of racist images, I guess.

Anyway, thanks. I have never been to Iran, but have long been interested - even learned some Farsi.

I'd also like to accompany a refugee Kurd back to Iraq, but with the Superpower running amuck ... it will be a long time.

All the best,

SC, Ottawa, Canada

I am 11 years old and I am doing a project on the earthquake in Bam for geography. I have stumbled onto your website whilst I was looking for information on the earthquake. My Mum didn't think that the link would be much use as it was art therapy but we were very wrong as it was very interesting to see how the city was before the quake and how devestating the quake was, because you never see the nice pictures of "before" on the news. Your slides have made me understand the real story of Bam. Hopefully my teacher will show the site in class so everyone will understand. I pray for everyone affected by the destruction. Thankyou.

I did not have the chance to visist Bam while I lived in Iran before the revolution ... thanks for the beautiful film!

Bill

I am a school teacher in Spokane Wa. My students are doing a fundraiser for the victims of the earthquake. We would like to use this video to show other schools the horrific events. Could we have permission to use this video

Ofcourse you can use the video Elisabeth. Good luck with your project.

I am saddened at the loss of so many people in the Iranian earthquake. On my various visits to Iran I have always found the people friendly, helpful, and hospitable. How well I remember my visit to the Arg-i-Bam mud brick deserted town. I spent several days just meandering around. It was a treasure house of labyrinthine streets and buildings. I was fortunate to be able to take so many wonderful photographs of the now lost historic citadel town. I would like to correspond with anyone who would like to contribute to a store of knowledge of the area. I had intended for years to pay a return visit but now all I will be able to see is the devastation caused by the earthquake.
Again my heart goes out to the bereaved and injured in the Bam earthquake.

I guess you understand the Dutch language....
Geke Jordens.

Thank you for sharing your video. While watching it I was very aware of the fact that one of those people appearing accidentally in your video may have now passed on. You were so fortunate to have expereinced Bam in all its glory. I think your video should be archived somewhere. Perhaps the United Nations. The essance of respect for all things great and human is ever present in your video. Thank you agin.

Your video has become a few moments of prayer for me. A most amazing thing.......to be awe struck with such power of spirit on the internet, finally. Thank You.

I have a great interest in Biblical archaeology and the images you have captured of Bam give me a good insight of what ancient walled cities mentioned in the Bible may have looked like. Thank you and keep up the great work. Charles

Hello,
I'm iranian Tourguide and want to thank you for this clip.that's very pity, but we can not do anything.
good luck!

I have been quite annoyed with the entire media about the lack of information on this disaster of mythic proportions. I was a corpsman with the Marines during Vietnam and in the infantry. I am without doubt concerned about the the troops in Iraq. I have reminded people from the pulpit at Catholic Mass about the death of tens of thousands in the first few minutes of the quake.
Someone needs to get a fire under the media even though it does not play into their political agendas.
Thank you so much for your work.
