The part of eastern-landfront in which this road-block was build was not formed by a heavy concrete wall, but by a sand-wall which was up to ten metres high. The slopes of the wall were made on such a way that tanks could not drive over the wall. On top of it machinegun-nests and tobruks were placed.
The Walzkorpersperre is one of the few remaing in europe.
